Job summary

Bloomberg Intelligence is seeking a highly motivated Credit Research Analyst to cover high yield US Auto Suppliers/Retailers from New York. You will research business models, financial results, and competitive positioning, curating data into dashboards for Bloomberg Terminal users to analyze trends and risks.

You will monitor earnings cycles, interpret company developments, and publish thematic content while engaging with clients and internal teams to improve data quality and research outcomes.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in Credit Research, focusing on US Auto Supplier/Auto Retailer sectors.
• Experience interpreting financial statements and performing quantitative financial analysis.
• Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting.
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to integrate frontier technologies, including generative AI and automation, to improve research efficiency.
• Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular credit research on US Auto Supplier/Auto Retailers.
• Monitor major developments and macro themes affecting the industry.
• Manage earnings cycle, including previews and reviews with live Bloomberg data.
• Publish thematic content and collaborate with global analysts and strategists.
• Engage with clients and senior management at target companies.
• Coordinate with Global Data teams to ensure data quality.
• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders across News, Research, Sales and Product.
