Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, based in Michigan City, IN, is seeking a Wirer to join a front-line production team. You will wire product models to P&I and WD drawings, follow work instructions, and complete relevant training while ensuring defect-free output aligned to specifications.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Basic reading skills required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Basic understanding of electricity and motor control systems.
• Able to read BOM, P&I drawings, wiring diagrams, and Work Instructions.
• Involvement in 6S activities, value stream mapping, TPM, and QC data collection.

Responsibilities

• Wire product models to P&I, WD drawings and Work Instructions.
• Complete P&I, WD, and blueprint training.
• Install heat trace per P&I, WD, and Work Instructions.
• Utilize SAP, QMS, and Operator Portal for daily activities.
• Pass wireing qualification exams and safety trainings.
• May switch between lines to meet production needs.
