Job summary

Stellios Technologies is hiring a High Voltage Technician to build, wire, insulate, and operate high power microwave sources and high voltage power supplies. This on-site role in Austin demands hands-on skills with energized hardware and a deep understanding of HV systems.

You will work closely with engineers to assemble, test, and validate components, ensuring safety and compliance while delivering robust pulsed power hardware for defense, aerospace, and energy applications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HV experience required; not an entry-level role.
• 3+ years of experience with HV power supplies.
• Ability to work from wiring diagrams and assembly instructions without ongoing engineer support.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person for export control purposes.

Responsibilities

• Wiring harness fabrication, routing, dressing, labeling, and strain relief across the machine.
• HV cable termination, potting, splicing, and standoff/bushing installation.
• Epoxy encapsulation, potting, insulation systems, and surface prep and cure.
• Assemble HV power supplies, modulators, and pulsed power hardware up to 1,000,000 volts.
• Manage capacitor banks, energy storage, charging systems, and safety hardware.
• Assemble and install transformers, magnetics, and inductors.
• Set up and operate energized systems with proper grounding and shielding.

Stellios is building advanced power systems for defense, aerospace, and energy.

We are hiring a High Voltage Technician to build, wire, insulate, and operate high power microwave sources and high voltage power supplies.

This is a hands-on build role based in Austin, TX. You will have tools in your hands and energized hardware in front of you, on real systems that run up to a million volts.

What You Will Own

• Wiring harness fabrication, routing, dressing, labeling, and strain relief across the whole machine
• High voltage cable termination, potting, splicing, and standoff and bushing installation
• Epoxy encapsulation, potting, insulation systems, and the surface prep and cure
• Assembly of HV power supplies, modulators, and pulsed power hardware up to one million volts
• Capacitor banks, energy storage assemblies, charging systems, and the safety hardware
• Transformer, magnetics, and inductor assembly and installation
• Setting up and operating energized systems, grounding, bonding, shielding, and corona control
• Hipot, megger, partial discharge, and continuity testing
• Working directly with the engineers who designed the hardware

Who We Are Looking For

• You must have real, hands-on high voltage experience. This is not an entry level role.
• No degree is required. We care what you have personally built, wired, potted, energized, and fixed. A strong technician with 3+ years of experience who worked with HV power supplies .
• You need to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, cable and harness drawings, and assembly instructions without an engineer standing over you.
• This role requires access to U.S. export controlled information. Candidates must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable export control laws.
• This role is on site in Austin.
