With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. As Electron Beam technology is being used by more and more of KLA's divisions, we are establishing a High Voltage Center of Excellence to support multiple divisions. Are you excited to be a leader on this team?
Document and standardize design, manufacturing, and testing of high voltage components and assemblies using industry standards, best known methods, and the newest technology.
Design high voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements. This includes dielectric selection, thermal management, and noise suppression.
Conduct studies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of high voltage systems.
Select and procure appropriate high voltage equipment, collaborating with suppliers and contractors.
Prepare technical reports, maintenance strategies and supporting documentation, and accurate records.
Integrate solutions into Semiconductor Inspection equipment focused on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Conduct inspections and diagnose system issues.
Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of high voltage systems.
Establish and qualify external vendors and suppliers.
Analytical instrumentation
Semiconductor Capital Equipment working on the specialty equipment, not the mains
SEM/TEM
High Vacuum systems and High Voltage Vacuum Feedthroughs
Materials
Cable/connector specification, design, and testing
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Demonstrated experience as a High Voltage Engineer or similar role working on Electron Beam technology.
In-depth knowledge of precision high voltage system design, operation, and maintenance.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., MATLAB; ANSYS or COMSOL are a plus).
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, SEMI).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
