The Town of Louisburg is seeking an Electric Line Technician to join our electrical distribution team. The role supports construction, maintenance, and repair of both underground and overhead lines, working with the Line Crew Supervisor to keep the system safe and reliable.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma with technical electrical training, CDL Class A, and ElectriCities Line Tech certification, plus the ability to lift heavy loads and work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma supplemented by technical training in electrical principles.
• Experience in a skilled trade (preferably electrical) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electrical distribution lines.
• Operate and maintain line trucks, bucket trucks, backhoes, trenchers, and other heavy equipment.
• Respond to service calls for hook-ups, disconnections, and basic troubleshooting.
• Perform line clearance through tree trimming and clearing to ensure line safety.
