Job summary

HSP US in Charlotte, NC seeks a Test Lab Technician to validate the performance, reliability, and safety of high-voltage equipment. You will set up and operate test gear, conduct electrical and mechanical tests, collect and analyze data, and prepare accurate test reports.

You will work closely with engineering, quality, and production to ensure products meet requirements and standards. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (or associate degree) and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical field or associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology is required.
• Experience with high-voltage products, dielectric testing, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and test procedures.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to analyze test data and identify anomalies.
• Adherence to safety procedures and lockout/tagout.
• Documentation: accurate, traceable test records.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-voltage test equipment according to procedures.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical tests on HV equipment.
• Record test data (voltage, current, time) and observations.
• Prepare test reports summarizing procedures, data, and results.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet requirements.
• Develop and follow test procedures for HV equipment.
• Ensure safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Evaluate test results and assess equipment performance.
• Assist in laboratory setup and maintenance of equipment.
