Job summary

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) seeks a journey-level high-voltage electrician to perform installation, connection, maintenance and repair work on circuits carrying 600+ volts in compliance with the NEC and safety standards.

Work is outdoors or in MDTA facilities, may require heavy lifting, and shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Four years of high-voltage experience, two in commercial/industrial settings, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four (4) years of high-voltage wiring or large motor experience required; two years in commercial/industrial setting.
• Application must specify high-voltage duties performed.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform high-voltage installation, connection, maintenance and repair work.
• Work with circuits carrying 600+ volts in accordance with NEC and safety rules.
