Job Summary:

EMCOR Government Services seeks a High Voltage Electrician at Dulles Discovery in Herndon, VA. This role troubleshoots and maintains electrical equipment in the Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 0600-1400. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 26.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot all equipment on site.
• Be available off-hours for emergencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment on site.
• Identify and report deficiencies; implement corrective actions.
• Attend meetings with clients and USG, providing corrective solutions.
• Monitor electrical subcontractors and report as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must possess and maintain a Journeyman License or higher.
• Seven or more years of experience in maintenance and repairs of commercial-industrial electrical systems, including switchgear, motors, control systems, transformers, electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Practical knowledge of electrical switchgear and building electrical systems.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly clearance.

Physical Demands:

• Heavy physical effort (lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing up to 100 lbs).
• Prolonged standing/walking.
• Manual dexterity and mobility.
• Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
