Job summary

Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp., located in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an Electrical Tester (High Voltage) for 1st shift. You will test and calibrate high‑voltage equipment, analyze data, and ensure compliance with specifications as part of the Quality Team.

The role requires a High School Diploma (advanced degree preferred), teamwork, and strong communication skills. Pay is $22–28/hr with overtime potential and full union benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; advanced certificate/degree in related field desired.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and is self-motivated.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to effectively partner and communicate with external and internal customers at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Set up, connect, test and adjust items (motors, generators, control equipment) to meet specifications.
• Read production orders and data sheets to prepare testing.
• Prepare data sheets, test plans and reports electronically.
• Use test equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, dynos, high-pot equipment).
• Record, analyze and report test data against specifications.
• Perform mechanical setup and dynamic balancing of components.
• Verify in-process electrical compliance to specifications.
• Calibrate and maintain electrical test equipment and documentation.
• Lift/move materials using forklift, pallet jack or cranes.
• Support ISO 9001, OSHA and EPA regulations and continuous improvement.
