This role involves leading the design of systems for industrial substations and performing grid stability studies. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and at least 10 years of relevant experience in EPC environments. Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in high voltage electrical design.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Nevada or eligible for reciprocity.
Highly motivated, proactive, and detail oriented.
Responsibilities
Lead the design of high voltage AC electrical systems.
Review and evaluate the design of existing substations for reliability.
Perform grid simulation and stability studies using industry-standard tools.
Skills
Transmission-level load flow and stability using PSSE and PSLF
Electromagnetic Transient Simulations using PSCAD, EMTC or similar
SEL Relay Settings using SEL AcSELerator
Relay coordination and fault studies using ASPEN OneLiner
Power system modeling using ETAP or SKM
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
