Job summary

HECO Inc. is seeking a Motor Technician in Wheeling, WV to dismantle, inspect, assemble and test AC/DC electric motors up to 15,000HP and 13,800V. You will use Meggers, low ohm meters, micrometers, AC/DC test panels, Hi-Pot testers, and related equipment while documenting readings in tablet-based packets.

Responsibilities include adherence to customer specifications and reporting to the Mechanic Team Leader. This full-time position includes benefits and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling and detailed inspecting AC and DC Electric motors, through 15,000HP and 13,800v.
• Assembly and Testing of AC and DC Electric motors.
• Test and check Electric motors using Meggers, Low OHM Meters, Micrometers, AC/DC Test Panels, Hi-Pot Tester, Surge Comparison Tester, Bar to Bar Tester.
• Document and record all readings/measurements in tablet-based job packets.
• Adhere to all Customer requirements and specifications.
• This position reports to the Mechanic Team Leader.
