Job summary

Beowulf Electricity and Data is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience in high-voltage and critical power environments to support our AI data center operations.

Located in Barker, NY, the role requires troubleshooting complex systems, performing preventive maintenance, and following strict safety protocols. Industry credentials are preferred, and overtime/on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade training preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industrial electrical experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical power distribution, medium- and high-voltage switchgear, UPS and backup power systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical distribution systems from 480V to 70kV.
• Inspect and maintain medium- and high-voltage switchgear, breakers, relays, and protective devices.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-voltage transformers; inspect, test, and diagnose.
• Support UPS and backup power infrastructure for critical data center operations.
• Interpret electrical schematics and one-line diagrams; respond to outages quickly.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and electrical safety requirements.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and ensure regulatory compliance.
