A leading company in vehicle electrification seeks a High Voltage Battery Pack Diagnostic Technician based in Pontiac, Michigan. This role involves the diagnostics and testing of EV battery packs, working with engineering teams to implement corrective actions based on findings. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical and mechanical systems, with strong communication skills and a passion for innovative battery technologies.
Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successfulcandidate is expected to report to Pontiac on a full-time basis.
The Role
The High Voltage Battery Pack Diagnostic Technician specializes in the safe and orderly preparation, diagnostics, testing and disassembly of Reserve Energy Storage System (RESS) Packs also known as EV Battery Packs within a teardown cell environment or on the road at dealer location.
Our team is looking for a candidate that is passionate about an all-electric future. This position is based in General Motors’ Pontiac, Michigan location. The role involves diagnosing, disassembling, and testing pack components to determine the root cause of any failures. You will work closely with engineering to develop and implement corrective actions in production based on your findings.
This role is a good fit for a qualified individual who is interested in innovative battery technologies and growing in the field of vehicle electrification. You will also possess the ability to train entry level technicians.
