Job summary

Eon is building the infrastructure for large-scale connectomics data collection and brain simulation. We are seeking a Microscopy Technician to operate and maintain the high-throughput imaging pipeline in our San Francisco lab, running microscopes to capture high-resolution 3D image volumes and ensuring smooth daily acquisition.

You will report to the Head of Microscopy, help with alignment, troubleshooting, and pipeline organization, and bring demonstrable experience with modern fluorescence

Qualifications

• BS or MS with 2+ years of hands-on microscope experience.
• Experience operating in core facilities or high-throughput imaging.
• Fluorescence microscopy theory and instrumentation knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a multi-step pipeline.
• Familiarity with Fiji or Imaris for image analysis.

Responsibilities

• Operate microscopes to acquire high-resolution 3D image volumes, ensuring high throughput.
• Assist with alignment, calibration, and setup of new experiments and equipment.
• Handle mounting and storage of expanded hydrogel specimens with care.
• Troubleshoot imaging issues and perform routine maintenance on microscopes.
• Implement and maintain imaging pipeline organization and tracking.
