Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Patent Agent or Technology Specialist in Chicago with 2-5 years of high-tech patent prosecution experience. You will draft patentability opinions, conduct searches, and support complex prosecution matters.

A strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is required, along with proven analytical skills and a collaborative mindset. Prior law-firm or industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of high-tech patent prosecution experience.
• Proficiency in patent searching and drafting IP-related opinions.
• Prior experience as a patent agent or in a law firm or industry setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patent searches and draft patentability opinions.
• Prepare freedom-to-operate and other IP-related opinions.
• Support complex patent prosecution matters.
