Butler America Aerospace, LLC. seeks a hardware test engineer with at least 3+ years of experience to own high-speed testing activities in Irvine, CA. You will generate and execute test plans, bring up boards, perform functional tests, and work with software teams on diagnostics for multiple interfaces.

The role emphasizes measurement, verification, environmental and stress testing, with in-person interviews and relocation assistance. Citizenship USC/GC/H1B is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware test engineering with emphasis on high-speed designs.
• Ability to generate and execute comprehensive test plans.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, PCA testers and general lab instruments.
• Knowledge of signal measurements and compliance testing is advantageous.
• Willingness to relocate to Irvine, CA and perform in-person interviews.

• Good knowledge of hardware design
• Communication interfaces, internet interfaces
• Start off manufacturing house, understand architecture, generate the plan
• Generating the test plan, understanding it, then work on the continuity
• Work with software team, then install diagnostics of each interfaces
• Bring up and functional tests, then Design verification testing
• DETAIL, we expect the candidate to have knowledge of oscilloscopes, PCA tester, all types of instruments
• Performing detailed signal measurements, everything we need to make a measurement.
• What are the measured values.
• Compliance Testing is a great background, certifications are better but not required.
• High Speed Design Knowledge
• Board Testing
• Root cause analysis, suggest solutions
• Aero or Auto industries, any domain is fine, but high-speed exposure is important.
• Tool Preference: not must have on the resume.
• 18 months + relocation is great, location is a must, there is no remote capabilities.
• Environmental testing - used for ensuring the system is meeting emissions limits.
• ESD and System
• Answer what would be the reason for the failure, they are not performing the tests themselves.
• Stress tests, longevity
• Someone D0160 Standards would have this qualifications, write and make the test cases.
• Another team will do the Design and Test Engineers.
• Will work with the other Quality Engineer we are trying to play with
• Want the resumes to be genuine, the people need to be able to perform in the interview, explaining the tools.
