Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer for high-speed networking projects in Everett, WA. This 12-month contract-to-hire role focuses on digital hardware design, 10Gb/s Ethernet, and system-level integration with cross-functional teams to move concepts into production.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in hardware design, strong PCB/ASIC expertise, and hands-on debugging skills with oscilloscopes and analyzers. A BS in EE is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with digital hardware design for PCB and systems.
• Hands-on experience with microprocessor-based architectures and system-level integration.
• Knowledge of Ethernet technologies (10Gb/s or higher) and networking protocols.
• Ability to test and debug hardware using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience with high-speed networking and Ethernet LAN products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned hardware projects through all phases from concept to production release.
• Develop conceptual designs and architectures, implement hardware solutions, run simulations, debug issues, and thoroughly document designs and test results.
• Test prototypes and perform failure analysis using lab equipment to diagnose problems.
• Collaborate with product management to ensure designs meet requirements and target costs.
