Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• AK Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with teenage athletes, parents, and administrators.
• Set an example through living by a high code of conduct.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Understand and adhere to NSBSD and ASAA policies and guidelines.
• Follow the NFHS Coach's Code of Ethics.
• Responsible for annual review of coaches' and parent/student handbooks.
• Holds scheduled practices during the regular season and post season.
• Complete Background Check.
• Complete Mandatory Trainings.
• Holds a pre-season meeting with students and parents to inform philosophy and rules.
• Complete athlete education following ASAA and NSBSD policies.
• Responsible for accurate and timely completion of athletic participation forms.
• Issues equipment and uniforms to athletes and maintains records.
• Plan and teach fundamentals, strategy, and technique.
• Maintain a first aid kit and injury reports.
• Assist Principal/Activities Director in pre-game activities.
• Provide supervision of athletes from trip start to return home.
• Foster good sportsmanship and assist visiting teams and officials.
• Provide a list of players traveling eight days prior to activity.
• Turn in inventory and season records to administrators.
• Complete end-of-season checkout and activity report.
