Job summary

Brooke County Schools seeks an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Brooke High School to direct all coaching activities, including sign-ups, practices, games and drills, for grades nine through twelve. The position reports to the Principal, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, or designee.

The ideal candidate will hold WV certification/licensure as required and have classroom teaching experience with a preferred background in the relevant activity area.

Qualifications

• Certification or licensure as required by the West Virginia Board of Education and the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission.
• Experience in both classroom teaching and area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all activities normally associated with coaching: sign-ups, practice sessions, games and drills.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with athletic department and school staff.
• Develop and implement team rules and safety practices; supervise athletes and equipment.
