Job summary

Brooke High School seeks an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach to direct all coaching activities for grades 9–12, including practices, games, and drills. The role involves collaborating with middle school coaches to establish a feeder system and upholding WVSSAC policy.

Qualifications

• Certification or licensure as required by the West Virginia Board of Education.
• Experience in classroom teaching and area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all coaching activities for high school grades nine through twelve, including sign-ups, practice sessions, games, drills, etc.
• Schedule interscholastic events in coordination with the Athletic Department.
• Work with middle school coaches to create a feeder system and shared philosophy.
• Communicate coaching philosophies, team rules, and expectations to athletes and parents/guardians.
• Maintain equipment inventory and uniforms; oversee safety and field readiness.
• Attend WVSSAC and OVAC meetings as required and assist with program development.
