Job summary

The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) invites applications for a paid stipend coaching position with Venture Academy from November 2, 2026 to February 19, 2027. The role focuses on building a wrestling program, engaging students, and coordinating practices and meets in campus facilities.

You will collaborate with the Athletic Director to shape a vision, meet with the team M-TH, and communicate with players and parents while meeting administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience and ability to meet with team M-TH and conduct practices or manage meets.
• Ability to communicate with players, parents, and other coaches.
• NFHS coaching certification required; CPR/First Aid certification preferred; fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with team each day M-TH; lead practices and manage meets.
• Work with Athletic Director to create a vision for the program.
• Communicate with players, parents, and coaches; handle administrative tasks.
• Practices may occur Fridays and Saturdays; meets held in school gym.
