Job summary

Columbia Falls School District 6 is seeking a tennis coach to staff the high school program. You will implement the plan created by the head coach, monitor practices and games, and ensure safety and adherence to district policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, MHSA coaching certification, and First Aid/CPR. Strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and some experience with a successful high school program.
• Must have MHSA coach certification on first day of employment.
• Member of the Montana Coaches Association.
• First Aid/AED/CPR certification.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with staff, students, parents, media and public.
• Ability to maintain student confidentiality.
• Ability to meet regular attendance and safety standards.
• Knowledge of tennis techniques and skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the program planned by the head coach.
• Perform delegated duties set forth by the head coach.
• Promote a positive environment that supports self-esteem, values, and life-long learning.
• Maintain proactive plans and other applicable documents on file.
• Monitor pre- and post-practices, games, and all trips.
• Ensure the safety of the practice and game fields and facilities.
• Enforce rules and safety procedures of the program.
• Adhere to the Activities Handbook and District policies.
• Stay current with MHSA coach/advisor rules and NFHS/MHSA safety guidelines.
