Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Valid PA K-12 world language certification(s) in Spanish, French, Mandarin, Latin, or ASL.
• Master's degree in Education or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate world language lessons aligned with standards.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress.
• Instruct language reading, writing, speaking and listening with cultural context.
• Develop engaging lesson plans, assess progress, and provide feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student achievement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and lead language clubs or events.
• Utilize technology to support innovative language instruction.
