Job summary

Providence Public Schools seeks a dedicated High School CTE Metal Fabrication and Welding Teacher to lead engaging programs for students in grades 7-12. The role emphasizes hands-on instruction, safety, and industry-aligned competencies in welding and metal fabrication.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five years in metal fabrication and welding, with readiness to pursue RIDE Welding certification. ESL certification is preferred to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication and welding instruction.
• Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
• Familiarity with using technology to support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Instruct and monitor students with learning materials and equipment.
• Establish clear objectives and provide timely feedback on work.
• Maintain a welcoming, respectful classroom environment.
• Use data to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and development.
• Communicate progress and needs to students, families, and colleagues.
• Provide diverse learning materials and resources for all students.
• Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings and professional development.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments per state standards.
