Job summary

Qualifications

  • Welding experience is required.
  • Ability to teach welding and related CTS courses.
  • Experience planning standards-based, data-driven lessons.
  • Ability to accommodate diverse learners with differentiation.
  • Familiarity with industry certification processes and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches welding concepts aligned to TEKS, district curricula, and industry standards.
  • Designs clear, organized, sequential lessons with enrichment and differentiation.
  • Assesses student mastery using multiple tools and provides remediation as needed.
  • Maintains a safe lab environment and ensures proper use of equipment.
  • Prepares students for industry-based certifications and administers exams.
