Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools seeks a qualified Head Volleyball Coach to lead the Riverdale High volleyball program, develop players, and supervise coaching staff. Ideal candidates will hold a Louisiana Teaching Certificate and LHSAA coaching credentials, with a proven track record in developing student-athletes and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in Standard English, both orally and in writing.
• Able to communicate via telecommunication systems and with students, parents and staff following JPPSS policies.
• Able to communicate with media and represent the school.
• Able to compile data and provide written reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision of the volleyball program within LHSAA/JPPSS guidelines.
• Assign duties to other volleyball coaches.
• Maintain and issue equipment inventories.
• Schedule games and related volleyball activities.
• Ensure athletes have current physicals and insurance documentation.
• Coordinate with athletic director and administrator in charge of athletics.
• Evaluate assistant coaches.
• Perform duties as assigned by the principal or administrator.
