Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical requirements to perform essential functions (up to 50 lbs; lifting, bending, etc.).
• Completion of required athletic coaching courses including First Aid and CPR.
• Athletic Coaching Certification from the State of Florida within required timeline.
• Criminal history background check and drug screening clearance.

Responsibilities

• Reports to athletic director and principal for specific responsibilities; perform duties in a satisfactory, ethical, and professional manner.
• Administers all aspects of the activity within the District and individual school's Athletic Department policy.
• Complies with Florida High School Activities Association and National Federation Rules.
• Provides safekeeping/accounting for funds when responsible for program fees/collections.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sport-specific strategies and safety practices.
• Organizes practices and contests with clear objectives and effective supervision.
• Sets a positive example and maintains professional conduct at all times.
• Manages equipment inventory and confidentiality of program information.
