Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid training required.
• Athletic coaching certification from the State of Florida required within the specified timeline.
• Satisfactory criminal history and drug screening clearance.

Responsibilities

• Reports to athletic director and principal for specific responsibilities; perform duties in a satisfactory, ethical and professional manner as determined by administration.
• Administers all aspects of the activity within the District and school policies.
• Adheres to Florida High School Activities Association and National Federation rules.
• Maintains safekeeping/accounting for funds when responsible for program fees/collections.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sport-specific strategies and up-to-date rules/regulations.
• Provides adequate practice time, organization, and delivery of instruction; manages practices and contests effectively.
• Maintains safety, discipline, and professional conduct for participants and staff.
• Oversees equipment inventory and storage; ensures proper care and accounting.
