Qualifications

• Experience coaching long jump and/or high jump at high school or college level preferred.
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and in-depth knowledge of track rules and strategies.
• Must be able to complete background checks (criminal and Indiana DCS).

Responsibilities

• Assesses players’ skills and abilities.
• Coaches players on rules, equipment, and techniques.
• Observes players during practice and competition to identify improvement needs.
• Determines game strategy based on athletes’ capabilities.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior and provides supervision.
• Follows procedures for athlete injuries and safety.
• Attends staff meetings, clinics, and fundraising activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by administrator.
