Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of student learning needs.
• Develop and implement assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Stay current with educational trends and integrate innovative teaching practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area or education.
• Valid teaching certification/licensure in North Carolina.
• Proven experience teaching in the subject area in secondary schools (9-12 grade).
• Proficiency in subject-specific pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
• Demonstrate proficiency with new technologies and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons.
• Able to work collaboratively with the other members of the department and the whole school in academics, extracurricular activities, and furthering the mission of the school.
• For language positions, one must be fluent in French or Spanish.
• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
• Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
