Job summary

Shore Regional High School District seeks an Assistant Swim Coach to lead and supervise the school's aquatic program. You will organize practices, coordinate with the athletic department, and ensure adherence to NJ regulations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include coordinating coaching staff, maintaining team records, handling equipment, and communicating with the Assistant Principal of Athletics. The role requires valid NJ teaching credentials and current safety certifications.

Qualifications

Must hold a teaching certificate or other qualification in accordance with the State Department of Education.
New Jersey resident.
Board of Education approved status; CPR and AED certification renewal every two years; Concussion Awareness, Heat Acclimatization, and Implicit Bias courses required.

Responsibilities

Contact and recommend assistant coaches for the program as needed.
Prepare detailed duties of each assistant coach.
Keep abreast of the latest NJSIAA and Shore Conference rules and regulations.
Assist in distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.
Organize and schedule regular practice sessions to develop athletes.
Plan and administer supervision of all team members.
Provide the Assistant Principal of Athletics with team member lists when requested.
Act as liaison between the program and media, boosters, and the public.
Post and enforce rules related to discipline, attendance, and awards as directed by the Director of Athletics.
Report injuries to the Athletic Trainer and communicate any dangerous conditions.
