Job summary

Linn-Mar Community School District seeks a Student Support Associate at the high school to assist teachers in boosting students' academic and social skills and to help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom.

Under the supervision of the building principal or designee, you will implement IEP goals, support transitions, supervise activities, and collaborate with staff to promote positive behavior and responsible independence.

Qualifications

• Willingly accepts, understands and follows directions and instructions.
• Ability to learn, understand and implement appropriate student behavior techniques and address inappropriate student behavior.
• Knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques, or willingness to receive CPI training.

• If required, supervise the individual special needs student(s) as well as other students throughout the building/playground.
