Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is seeking a Strength / Weightroom Coach for Eastern Montgomery High School in Elliston for the 2026-2027 fall season. The coach will develop a high quality program emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, safety and academic eligibility.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma, 21+, VHSL coaching education, strong communication with parents and staff, reliability and on-site attendance. This is a part-time role with supplemental pay per season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 or older.
• VHSL coach education courses required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators.
• Ability to motivate students and be dependable.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a high quality athletic program stressing fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship with strong safety standards.
• Monitor academic performance to ensure athlete eligibility.
