Job summary

Graham Local Schools is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach for spring at GRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL in Saint Paris, Ohio. The role focuses on leading weight room operations, supervising staff, and designing sport-specific training programs for student-athletes.

You will work under the Athletic Director and High School Principal, integrating safety, discipline, and performance goals while maintaining a professional, positive role model presence for students and the community.

Qualifications

• Coaching certification: CSCS, SCCC, or USA Weightlifting Level 1.
• Demonstrate high moral character and integrity as a role model for students and community.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, community members, coaches, and school officials.
• Ability to organize, supervise, and direct weightlifting student-athletes.
• Deep understanding of strength training and cardiovascular exercise principles.
• Knowledge of weight training equipment and safety, able to create/modify programs.
• Commitment to continuing education and applying new ideas in training.
• Familiarity with league and district rules and background-check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, operate, and manage the Weight Room Facility and supervise staff.
• Maintain safety and organization of the weight room, locker rooms, and facilities.
• Organize and administer weight room matters and related activities.
• Instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills and conditioning for team success.
• Create sport-specific training for individual athletes and teams.
• Support the athletic department's mission and program development.
• Provide timely workout programs for teams and oversee training plans.
• Maintain clean facilities and record attendance for weight room use.
• Enforce weight room rules and coordinate equipment upkeep with the athletic department.
• Collaborate on rehabilitation training with the trainer for injured students.
