Job summary

DuPage High School District 88’s Addison Trail High School is seeking a part-time Special Education Teacher (.2) for the 2025-2026 school year. The position reports to the Department Chair and follows the ten-month calendar.

The teacher will deliver instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to meet IEP goals. A Bachelor's degree and Illinois teaching certificate with LSB 1 Endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate with LSB 1 Endorsement.
• Experience with IEPs and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to develop and implement lesson plans aligned to standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers daily instruction aligned to course objectives.
• Pre-assesses student readiness and adapts pace to needs.
• Maintains accurate records and submits reports as required.
• Communicates effectively with parents and staff.
• Upholds district policies and maintains appropriate classroom discipline.
• Collaborates with department to achieve school goals.
