Job summary

The South Brunswick School District seeks a Special Education Teacher to join our 9-12+ self-contained program at South Brunswick High School. You will plan and deliver instruction aligned with the district curriculum and develop individualized student IEPs.

A Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification or Teacher of the Handicapped is required; experience in self-contained classrooms is preferred. The role is a ten-month, full‑time assignment with competitive benefits.

Responsible for all planning and instruction as per district curriculum. Responsible for developing and following student IEPs, making modifications to curriculum, and individualizing instruction.

Experience

• Previous experience teaching students with disabilities preferred. Previous experience working in self-contained classroom environments.

2026 - 2027 Terms of Employment

• Base Salary: $67,380.00 - $108,300.00
• Employment Period: Ten (10) Months
• Union Affiliation: SBEA
