Job summary

Legacy High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, seeks a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. You will provide direct, specially designed instruction to high school students, perform evaluations, write IEPs, develop programming, collect data and report progress.

Salary ranges from $53,713 to $79,872 per year and is prorated based on start date; external candidates may bring up to 17 years of contracted K–12 teaching experience; minimum qualifications include a valid ND teaching

Qualifications

• ND teaching certificate and Bachelor's degree are required.
• Other qualifications as specified in job description.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
• Plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students.
• Monitors and evaluates student outcomes.
• Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
• Maintains organized records and follows required procedures.
