Job summary

MONROE-GREGG SCHOOL DISTRICT in Monrovia, CA is seeking a High School Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a special education teacher. The role focuses on implementing behavior and learning interventions aligned with IEPs, with a 35-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with social-emotional needs in an elementary/early childhood setting preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group support to high school students with disabilities per IEPs and lesson plans.
• Supervise and support students under the supervision of the special education teacher.
• Move in and out of classes to provide academic and behavioral support.
• Document actions following incidents and report data to teachers.
• Assist with standardized testing and daily instructional activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment and professional relationships.
