Job summary

Tempe Union High School District is seeking a Paraprofessional in Special Education for a 9-month, 0.875 FTE assignment. The role supports teachers and students in a high school setting, assisting with instructional activities and student supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and eligibility as a paraprofessional (test score, college credit hours, or an Associate degree or higher). CPR, First Aid and CPI training may be provided by the District.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with students in a high school instructional setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required for candidacy.
• Passing score on an approved paraprofessional test OR 60 college credit hours OR an Associate's degree or higher are acceptable qualifications for paraprofessional eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators and other team members in providing educational assistance to students.
• Support students in classroom activities and supervision as directed by teachers.
• Follow district policies and training in providing instructional support.
