Job summary

Primavera Online School seeks a High School Special Education - HQ Math Teacher (Bonus Eligible) for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, exempt role is remote in the United States, reporting to the Director of Special Programs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with students and families weekly by phone, email, or video.
• Write and enforce IEPs and 504 plans.
• Collaborate with Exceptional Student Services and General Education staff.
• Participate in professional development and meetings.
• Assist Student Study Team in evaluating students.
• Conduct 45-day screenings and other regulatory duties.
• Be available 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday–Friday.
• Travel to testing locations for approximately six weeks per year.

The Team You Will Join

You’ll be part of the Exceptional Special Services team, working closely with teachers, school leadership and counselors.
This team is responsible for ensuring students receive the appropriate services, accommodations and supports the students academically.

In this role, your work will directly impact students and families by ensuring IEPs and 504 plans are implemented and that students receive the service and accommodations they need to thrive.

You’ll help support learners, ensure compliance and enhance the student experience, contributing to Primavera’s mission in a meaningful and visible way.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

• Communicating with students and parents on a weekly basis via phone, email, live video sessions, and other means
• Write and enforce IEPs and 504s
• Collaborate with other members of the Exceptional Student Services team and General Education Instructors to ensure students are receiving the appropriate support and accommodations
• Participate in professional development and departmental meetings as needed
• Assist the Student Study Team in evaluating and monitoring students
• Perform 45-day screenings and other duties as necessary to comply with all applicable state and federal regulations
• This position requires availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday through Friday
• Must be available to work in person for approximately six weeks each year to support Arizona state testing, including travel to assigned testing locations.
  

This role balances independent work and collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys supporting students, managing details, communication clearly and working with purpose.

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Arizona Teacher Certification in Special Education with approved area of Mathematics
• Current valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Bonus points if you also have:

• Special Education teaching experience at the secondary level
• Minimum of at least 2 years of verified full time teaching experience in Special Education
