Washtenaw ISD seeks a Special Education Teacher Consultant for Pioneer High School. The role reports to the building principal and involves coordinating SST processes and providing guidance for students with disabilities.

The position requires a Master's in Special Education, valid MI teaching certificate with SPED endorsement, and multiple years of relevant teaching experience. On-site, full-time with collaboration across departments is essential.

Responsabilités

• Understand SST process, general education interventions, and coordination.
• Collaborate with colleagues on program accommodations.
• Write and implement FAB/BIP.
• Coordinate services for special education, planning and oversight.
• Attend on-site regularly and reliably.

Formation

Master's Degree in Special Education

Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement in Special Education (EI, LD, CI)

Three years teaching experience including two years with students with disabilities

Understanding of SST process and coordination

Training in state-recommended reading and specialized programs

Consulting with colleagues on program adaptations and modifications

Experience in culturally diverse environment with ESL students

Knowledge of IEPs, due process, data collection

Highly qualified status as defined through NCLB

State Board approval as a teacher consultant or able to qualify
