- Active Michigan teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience supporting high school students with cognitive impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, staff
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Adaptability and creativity in instructional strategies
Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to high school students in a Cognitive Impairment classroom
- Develop, update, and implement IEPs tailored to each student's abilities and goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and family members to support learning
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting strategies for growth
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment that celebrates diverse abilities
