Job summary

Freire Schools in Wilmington, Delaware, is hiring a Spanish Teacher for our high school. You will deliver standards-aligned Spanish instruction, develop language skills, and support student achievement in a collaborative environment.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree or higher, state teaching certification or willingness to obtain it, and at least 2 years of experience with diverse students. The annual salary ranges from $50,000 to $90,000 with a strong benefits package.

About The Team

For this Spanish Teacher position, you’ll be working for our high school in Wilmington, Delaware called Freire Charter School Wilmington (8th-12th Grade): Freire is all about Graduation x 2 – graduation from high school and from college. We challenge our students to achieve higher than they ever have before, and we give them the support they need to get there, including individualized college counseling. 95% of The Class of 2025 received acceptances into 52 unique colleges and universities and earned nearly $4.3M in scholarship award offers. What you’ll do

As a member of Freire's instructional team, you'll bring Spanish to life through high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum that builds students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, pushes critical thinking, and drives high achievement in your classroom.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role is $50,000 - $90,000. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and more. Delaware employees are enrolled in Delaware’s state pension plan (and may also choose to participate in the state’s 403(b) retirement plan).
