Job summary

Freire Charter Wilmington is seeking a dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our instructional team in Wilmington, Delaware. You will deliver standards-aligned science instruction that challenges students to think critically and engage deeply with the content, while embracing ongoing coaching and feedback.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and valid state teaching certification, with at least two years of experience with diverse learners.

For this High School Science Teacher position, you'll be working for our high school in Wilmington, Delaware called Freire Charter School Wilmington (8th-12th Grade): Freire is all about Graduation x 2 - graduation from high school and from college. What you'll do

As a member of Freire's instructional team, you will implement high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum to drive rigorous instruction, critical thinking, and high achievement in your classroom, while remaining open to feedback and instructional coaching.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role is $50,000-$85,000, with certified teachers entering their first year starting at $55,000. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and additional benefits. Delaware employees are enrolled in Delaware's state pension plan and may also elect to participate in the state's 403(b) retirement plan.
