Job summary

Uncommon Schools in New York City seeks a High School Spanish teacher to develop students into global citizens through immersive language learning and AP-ready coursework. You will guide reading, writing, speaking and listening, and create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that motivates students to excel in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Instruction: build bilingual Spanish skills using AP-ready curriculum and motivate students to engage with authentic sources.
• Data Analysis: meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze trends in student work and assessments.
• School Culture: build positive relationships with students and families, and participate in weekly school-wide meetings to foster community.
