Academy of Mount St. Ursula in the Bronx seeks a mission-driven High School Spanish Teacher to join our World Languages Department.

You will teach Spanish to students in grades 9–12, fostering proficiency and cultural appreciation within a Catholic education framework. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Spanish or Education, with strong classroom management and a commitment to Catholic education; a Master’s degree and NYS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish or Education required.
• Master's degree and NYS certification preferred.
• High school Spanish teaching experience and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to grades 9–12 in a faith-centered learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Foster a supportive, faith-centered learning environment.
• Teach Spanish courses to students in grades 9–12.
• Develop engaging lessons that build students' proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish while integrating Hispanic cultures to foster global awareness and cultural appreciation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and uphold Catholic doctrine and values in daily teaching.

Qualifications

• Committed to Catholic education.
• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field required; master's degree and New York State certification preferred.
• High school Spanish teaching experience and strong classroom management skills.

3–5 Years Of Teaching Experience Preferred

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students of varying language proficiency levels.
