AnthroMed Education is seeking a School Social Worker for a high school program in Washington, DC. This on-site, full-time role supports students in grades 9–12 using a proactive, relationship-centered approach with a focus on rapport building, conflict mediation, family engagement, and helping students thrive without relying on traditional disciplinary practices.

Qualifications

• LICSW strongly preferred.
• SSP credential strongly preferred.
• LGSW candidates may be considered.
• Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral needs is highly valued.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Support approximately 10 students on your caseload while building relationships with the broader student population.
• Provide proactive support around student behavior, social-emotional needs, and conflict.
• Facilitate and support conflict mediation and restorative conversations.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and school staff.
• Lead family engagement efforts.
• Track student data and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with the school team to support students with emotional and behavioral needs.
• Provide support beyond required IEP service minutes.
