The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks a school social worker to support students in grades 9–12 within a small, rural high school community.
The role focuses on teaching social skills, providing individual and small group counseling, and coordinating with administration on mental health and behavioral concerns, including 504/IEP processes.
To be a highly effective school social worker providing instruction on social skills as well as individual and small group counseling. To provide immediate support for students with mental health and/or behavioral issues and be a resource to administration when dealing with DCFS or outside agencies. Participating as a team member in the 504 and IEP process for students.
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school social work endorsement. Organized, dedicated, firm, yet warm person to address the social and emotional needs of students grades 9-12 in a small, rural community high school.
Dependent upon qualifications and experience.
