Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
Present the subject matter according to TEA guidelines, policies, and regulations.
Access and use data to plan instructional strategies accommodating individual needs.
Cooperate with staff to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
Plan and supervise assignments for aides/volunteers in the classroom.
Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
Monitor student achievement through assessments.
Sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
Establish open communication with students and parents.
