Qualifications

• Hold a valid Arizona Department of Education State Teaching Certification in secondary education.
• Bachelor's Degree in a Social Studies content area.
• Master's Degree is preferred to meet Dual Enrollment College Courses requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Common Core State Standards and standards-based instruction.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to use technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Social Studies lessons to high school students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective and engaging Social Studies lessons to high school students.
• Assess and evaluate student understanding and progress using a variety of methods.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and collaborate with parents and guardians to encourage student success.
• Participate in school-wide events and promote a positive school community.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students.
• Fulfill any additional duties or responsibilities as directed by the school principal.
